What is BankShot?
BankShot makes it simple for kids and teens to log work or volunteering hours and learn real-world money skills—without handling payments or banking directly in the app.
Teens log their hours with a quick and structured workflow, choosing from parent-approved activity types like coaching, refereeing, tutoring, volunteering, part-time jobs, or community service. Each log captures what they did, when they did it, and how long it took, so parents and kids share the same clear record.
Parents review submissions in the app and mark entries as “paid” once completed. Every logged entry is automatically split for tracking purposes only: 50% counted toward personal spending, 50% toward savings. The dashboard keeps both kids and parents on the same page by showing: total hours logged, spending earnings, saved earnings, outstanding balance still owed, and a lifetime history of hours logged vs. amounts paid.
In account settings, parents can customize the hourly rate and edit activity types to fit school programs, household goals, or new opportunities. Link your account to your child's with a Family ID displayed in your account info.
The shared dashboard helps kids visualize their progress and financial impact, teaching responsibility, consistency, and goal-based money habits early in life.
